Rohit Sharma: 48* sixes
Current India skipper Rohit Sharma sits at second in the list of players with the most number of sixes. Hitman, as he is better known, has played 45 T20 World Cup matches hitting 48 sixes so far. Sharma climbed up to the second spot after hitting eight sixes in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 clash against Australia on June 24, 2024.
Jos Buttler: 43* sixes
England skipper and opener Jos Buttler is the third name with the most number of sixes in the T20 World Cup. The wicketkeeper-batter is known for his explosive skills and in 34 matches he has played in the marquee tournament, Buttler has recorded 43* maximums so far. He is expected to grab a higher rank in the standings as England will be up against India in the second semifinal of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 on June 27 (IST).
David Warner: 40 sixes
Former Australia cricketer, David Warner who hung up his boots after the Kangaroos got knocked out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8, sits on fourth spot in the list. Warner played 41 matches in the ICC spectacle and hit 40 sixes.
Yuvraj Singh: 33 sixes
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is the fifth name on the list of cricketers having hit most number of sixes. The left-handed batter who played his last T20 World Cup in 2016 hit 33 sixes in his 31 T20 World Cup appearances. Not only this but Singh also holds the record of six sixes in an over in the marquee tournament. Singh achieved the feat in the inaugural season of the tournament.
