Indian batting great Virat Kohli was left in shock and awe as he encountered a massive crowd at the IGI Airport w hen the Men in Blue reached New Delhi after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. Kohli was named the Player of the Match in the final as he scored a vital 76 in 53 balls and helped post a competitive total of 176 runs.
After receiving this accolade, Kohli announced his retirement from T20I cricket and was at the forefront of Team India’s celebration after the historic triumph. He and Team India, after winning the World Cup on June 29, were stuck in the West Indies due to a hurricane before leaving for their home at night on July 3.

Travelling on the Air India special charter flight AIC24WC – Air India Champions 24 World Cup and the Men in Blue arrived in Delhi at 6 a.m. (IST) on July 4 after a 16-hour non-stop journey. Here, Kohli was in complete shock looking at the number of people waiting to greet the team.
After arriving in Delhi, Virat Kohli was spotted meeting with his family at ITC Maurya. Kohli’s family members, which include his brother Vikas and sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, were seen in the hotel lobby waiting for an opportunity to meet the star cricketer and congratulate him on India’s T20 World Cup title win.
