Team India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who came up with an extraordinary performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 final, hilariously caught a fan’s t-shirt during a victory lap at the Wankhede Stadium. On Thursday, July 4, Team India returned from Barbados after a triumphant campaign at the T20 World Cup 2024. The team received a grand welcome from fans and the BCCI at the Marine Drive and the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Following the felicitation, the World Cup 2024 winners took a victory lap and passionately sang ‘Vande Mataram’ while greeting fans. During the same, all-rounder Hardik Pandya hilariously caught a fan’s t-shirt. While the team was enjoying the roaring atmosphere at the Wankhede, Pandya was leading from the front. As his arms were wide open, a blue T-shirt came out of nowhere. The all-rounder who was in the moment dropped it nonchalantly and kept enjoying the vibes.
However, fast-bowling star Jasprit Bumrah couldn’t control himself and burst into laughter. The video has been doing multiple rounds on social media, with fans reacting to it. Notably, Pandya played a crucial role in guaranteeing team India success in the marquee tournament and rose two places to become the first-ranked all-rounder in ICC’s latest rankings. In the final, Pandya finished with the figures of 3/20 and took the side over the line.
On the other hand, Bumrah emerged as a driving force in guiding the side to World Cup 2024 victory. The right-arm pacer was impactful in every match and ended up winning the Player of the Tournament. The fast-bowling extraordinaire picked 15 wickets in eight games with an economy of 4.17 and finished second in the list of top wicket-takers.
