Pakistan to boycott T20 World Cup 2026 if India doesn’t travel for Champions Trophy 2025: Reports

The Pakistan cricket team could skip the 2026 World Cup which will take place in India if the M en in Blue don’t travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. Team India is unlikely to travel to the neighbouring country for the marquee event scheduled between February and March 2025. 

Additionally, the BCCI is set to request the ICC to go for a hybrid model for CT 2025, allowing India to play their matches outside Pakistan. In retaliation to this decision, Pakistan will not travel to India in 2026.

The development reported by  Geo News Urdu comes ahead of the ICC’s annual conference which will take place in Colombo between July 19-22.  At this event, the PCB is set to oppose BCCI’s hybrid model for CT 2025 as they are adamant about hosting the entire tournament.

Sharing his thoughts on the possibility of Team India not travelling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, infamous former Pakistan player Salman Butt had some harsh words for the BCCI. Speaking on his YouTube channel, He said,  “Pakistan have got the rights to host the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy and it should be held in Pakistan. Like all the other teams, India should also come to Pakistan.”

“Pakistan went to India for the World Cup, so India should also do the same.  A lot of things have been said about the relations between the two countries, but India’s kabaddi and tennis teams have visited the same Pakistan. Either you cut off completely, or you try to be normal everywhere. You can’t pick and choose, which they have been doing,” Butt continued,
