Vice-captain of the Indian cricket team Hardik Pandya had a hilarious moment during a grand parade as he return ed to his hometown of Baroda after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. Pandya was crucial in Team India’s victorious campaign as he bowled 20th over in the final and took the Men in Blue over the finish line.
After all the festivities in New Delhi and Mumbai, Pandya returned home to Baroda where he was welcomed by a massive crowd that attended the grand parade. During this ceremony, Pandya was embracing the fans from the top of a bus when some threw a tennis ball at him.
Spotting that ball, Pandya hilariously caught it with some quick reactions. Fans were quick to compare this moment to the one from the Wankhede stadium where the Indian all-rounder hilariously caught a t-shirt thrown from the crowd when the Men in Blue were taking a lap celebrating the T20 World Cup win.
Taking to social media platform X, Hardik Pandya shared his feelings about the celebration and thanked the fans for their support. Pandya wrote, “Surreal Thank you for all the love Baroda, thank you for the support and thank you for making this such a special day. So many emotions, but always grateful,” he posted, capturing the essence of the emotions he experienced.
