Jake Paul called out UFC champion Alex Pereira after securing a win against Mike Perry with a brutal sixth-round knockout win. On Saturday, Paul clashed against Perry after his highly-anticipated fight against legendary Mike Tyson got postponed. Paul, who has previously defeated names like Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren, went on to call out the light-heavyweight champion following his fight against Tyson on November 15.
In his post-fight interview with DAZN’s Ariel Helwani, the ‘Problem Child’ said, “Mike Tyson, you’re next big boy. Sign the contract — November 15. I’m excited for that. I’m going to go home and prepare for that. And Alex Pereira, you said you want to box. I’m the king of this. Come over, we can make it happen. I want you, Alex Pereira. I just beat a BKFC champion, I beat multiple UFC champions and he said he wants to box, so Alex Pereira, after Mike Tyson, let’s make it happen.”
On the other hand, Paul’s win over Perry didn’t sit well with the former two-division champion, Conor McGregor. The Irishman, who is now part owner of BKFC went on to slam Paul and fired Perry after his defeat. He tweeted, “Jake Paul is the biggest p***bag I have ever seen in my life. 40 pound weight difference, juiced out of his head, and still sh**ing himself in there. Nakisa you should take him to Vegas oh that’s right you could never, the athletic commission testing, real testing, real fighting. Bitch asses. You could never. And then calling out 60year old Mike Tyson fresh off an in flight medical emergency? I swear to god, a fat can of bitch piss. Most valuable p***bag.”
He also tweeted, “Hey Mike youre released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired.”
Alex Pereira facetimes Jake Paul minutes after being called out for fight
Alex Pereira, reigning UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and a former UFC Middleweight Champion, surprised everyone by face-timing Jake Paul minutes after being called out for a fight. During their call, Paul could be heard telling the Brazilian fighter, “The bigger they are, the harder they fall. You’re light work.”
Moments after the call, The Problem Child, once again said, “Mike Tyson is training, he’s back, looking crazier than ever. And I’m going to get another KO and prove everyone wrong once again.” He added, “Mike, I love you but this is my sport now. You’re a legend, you’re one of the two most famous boxers to ever live — you and Muhammad Ali. It’s an honour to get in the ring with you, I’m so, so honoured. You’re a legend but I’m gonna take your throne, brother.”
