Rishabh Pant, the Indian cricketer, took to his official X account to send his best wishes to the Indian athletes, who are set to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games later this month. The 26-year-old asked India to “come together and support” all the Olympic athletes, who are going to France to make the country proud at the Olympics.
Notably, there will be 117 athletes across 14 disciplines from India, set to participate in Paris 2024 later this month, including 29 in athletics, 21 in shooting, 19 in hockey, eight in table tennis, and more. Some of the big names, who will be flying the tricolour high in France, are Neeraj Chopra, PV Sindhu, Sharath Kamal, Mirabai Chanu, PR Sreejesh, and Sift Kaur Samra.

In his recent post on X, Rishabh Pant wrote, “May the tricolour fly high at Paris. Wishing our Indian Olympic athletes all the best for Paris 2024.” He accompanied it with a video, saying, “Hello India, let’s come together and support our Indian Olympic athletes who have been working tirelessly throughout the years to make our country proud. Let’s show our appreciation for their hard work as they shine on the biggest stage of the world.”

Moreover, before the Indian cricket team left for the tour to Sri Lanka, the newly appointed head coach, Gautam Gambhir, and the chief selector, Ajit Agarkar, were part of a press conference in Mumbai. When Ajit Agarkar was asked about Rishabh Pant’s triumphant return from life-threatening injuries, he said, “Rishabh (Pant) has been out for a long time. So we want to bring him back without burdening him. Someone who has come back after a long time, you need to bring them back in the scheme of things gradually.”
Notably, Rishabh Pant is part of the ODI and T20I squads for India’s tour to Sri Lanka, which begins on July 27.
