Brazilian footballer Vinicius Jr decided to show off his footballing skills, but this time on a basketball court. Vinicius met NBA star Jaylen Brown and assisted him in scoring a basket with his football skills. The 24-year-old footballer has had a fantastic season as he guided his club to Champions League and La Liga glory. The footballer is currently one of the frontrunners for the Ballon D’or 2024, and has been backed by some of the best players for the prestigious award.
The São Gonçalo native was seen enjoying some time off the football field and joined NBA star player, Jaylen Brown on basketball court in the USA. In a video shared by the footballer, he was seen assisting Brown in scoring a basket with his footballing skills. The video was captioned “DUOOOO! @FCHWPO”. Notably, Real Madrid team is in the USA for pre-season club friendlies against AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea, before their clash against Atlanta in the UEFA Super Cup 2024.

Real Madrid legend and Vinicius’ former teammate Karim Benzema backed the 24-year-old footballer to win the Ballon d’Or Award 2024. The Frenchman believes that Vinicius deserves the award for his performances and the impact he created throughout the 2023-24 season.
Benzema spoke to Marca and said, “I am going to say Vini because he deserves it for his season and not just for what he’s done this year but also for what he has done last year, he was also above the rest and what he does with the ball. He is a kid, a complete footballer. He can win a game on his own, of course with the help of his teammates, but he is very good when Real Madrid needs him and that is why I think he deserves it. He is always there and he always shows up. For all of that, my favourite is Vini.”
