Neeraj Chopra, Indian javelin thrower and Tokyo Summer Games gold medalist, arrived in Paris for the 2024 Olympics on July 30. Chopra will be part of the Men’s Javelin Throw event alongside fellow countryman Kishore Jena which will take place on August 6 with the qualification stage.
The 26-year-old is an integral part of the athletic contingent which includes the most number of Indian athletes, 26, in Olympic history. Chopra took to social media and shared a few pictures from the village with the caption, ” नमस्कार, Paris! Excited to finally reach the Olympic Games village.”

As Chorpa reached the accommodation for the Indian Olympic contingent, he penned an inspirational note for all his fellow competitors at the 2024 Summer Games. The 26-year-old wrote, “This is the time for the performance.”
The Indian Athletics Contingent will kick off its Paris Olympics 2024 campaign on August 1. The first Indian athletes in action will be the trio of Akshdeep Singh, Vikas Singh, and Paramjeet Bisht who will be part of the Men’s 20km Race Walk.
