Suryakumar Yadav-led India beat Sri Lanka in Super Over; winning T20I series 3-0

The 3-match T20I series between India and Sri Lanka ended with a thrilling Super Over with Surykumar Yadav-led Indian team coming out on top. Defending 138 runs, Indian team found themselves in all sorts of trouble with Sri Lankan batters anchoring the chase really well. However, Suryakumar Yadav’s amazing captaincy tactics and Indian bowlers bowling exceptionally well, Indian team finally found themselves on the winning side. 

Under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy and Gautam Gambhir’s debut as Head Coach of Team India, team won 3-0 against Sri Lanka, winning the final game of the series in Super Over. A lot of positives came for Indian side with the likes of Washington Sundar, Riyan Parag, Shubham Gill and others stepping up to the occasion. However, the most important has been Surya’s captaincy and the calmness. 

India will now take on Sri Lanka in a 3-macth ODI series where the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will also be returning. The series between two sides will start from 2 August 2024.
