Three teams disqualified from Subroto Cup over age fraud

Three teams have been disqualified from the ongoing season of the 63rd Subroto Sub Junior Boys International Football Tournament for having players above the permissible age limit in the squad. Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society, controlled by Air Force Sports Control Board released an official statement regarding the disqualification of the three teams that are Nazareth Model High School, Dima Hasao, Assam; Nehru Public School, Jamui, Bihar; and Ultou Government Model High School, Bishnupur.

According to the statement, the three teams fielded more than four players in their squad who were above the cut-off age for the Subroto Cup which led to their disqualification. It was found after conducting Skeletal Age Estimation Test according to the rules and regulations of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

In addition to this, the results involving these three disqualified teams on day one of the Subroto Cup are now null and void. The other teams are still under the surveillance of a disciplinary committee and none of them have been disqualified yet.
