Sadio Mane to likely leave Al-Nassr; to join Al-Ittihad: Reports

Star Senegalese footballer Sadio Mane is likely to leave Al-Nassr as the club management is unhappy with his interaction with Cristiano Ronaldo. There are also rumours that things have become tense between him and Cristiano Ronaldo which made the management seeking his exit from the club. Sadio Mane joined Al-Nassr on August 1, 2023. Since then, he has made 46 appearances for the Saudi Pro League club, scoring 19 goals and eight assists.

After the reports of Sadio Mane leaving Al-Nassr surfaced, another Saudi Pro League club, Al-Ittihad has reportedly initiated talks with the Senegalese football icon to sign him for the upcoming season. It is reported that the club’s star footballer Karim Benzema has shown interest in playing with Mane in Al-Ittihad. The French footballer believes that the addition of Mane will prove to be beneficial for the club and help them to win the Saudi Pro League 2024-25.

Talking about Al-Nassr, they suffered a crushing 1-4 defeat against Al-Hilal in the final of the 2024 Saudi Super Cup in Abha, Saudi Arabia on August 17th. They will kickstart their 2024-25 Saudi Pro League campaign with a match against Al-Raed in Riyadh on August 22nd. On the other hand, Al-Ittihad will face Al Kholood in their season opener in Buraydah on August 24th.
