The secretary of the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) Jay Shah is likely to be the next chairperson of the International Cricket Council (ICC) If he gets this role, he will replace New Zealand’s Greg Barcley whose tenure as the ICC chairman will be ending in November 2024.

ICC Chairpersons till date
N Srinivasan – 2014-2015
India’s N Srinivasan was the first-ever chairperson of the ICC. He was the BCCI president from 2011 to 2013. After that, he took over as the ICC Chairperson with his tenure starting from July 26, 2014 till November 9, 2015.
Shashank Manohar – 2015 – 2020
Shashank Manohar had a longest tenure as a chairperson of the ICC. He started his tenure from November 22, 2015, which ended on June 30, 2020. Shashank Manohar served as the ICC chairman for four years and 221 days.
Imran Khawaja – 2020
Imran Khawaja served as the interim chairman of the ICC before Greg Barcley took over the role. His tenure as the ICC chairperson started on July 1 and ended on November 23 in 2020.
Greg Barcley – 2020 – present
Greg Barcley is the recent former chairperson of the ICC. Barcley formerly served as a chairperson of New Zealand from 2016 to 2020. After that, he took over the role as the ICC chairperson on November 24, 2020. Greg Barcley’s tenure is going to end in November 2024, and he will be replaced by Jay Shah.
Jay Shah
Jay Shah who has served as the chairperson of the BCCI Honorary Secretary since October 2019 and Chair of the Asian Cricket Council since January 2021 replaced Barcley as the newest chairperson of the ICC. On August 27, Shah was elected unopposed as the next chairperson of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
