Star Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has established himself as one of the fiercest batters in T20 cricket with his attacking batting in death overs. However, this time Rinku impressed everyone with his bowling skills in the ongoing UP T20 League 2024. The Meerut Mavericks’ skipper took three wickets in an over in a match against Kanpur Superstars at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on September 4.
Rinku Singh has previously also stunned everyone with his bowling skills in an India match. Singh scalped two wickets in the third T20I against Sri Lanka in Pallekele as India took the match to a super over. This time, he clinched three wickets conceding seven runs in a single over and guided his team to victory. Coming to bowl the sixth over, Rinku first dismissed Shaurya Singh in the second ball and then took wickets of Adarsh Singh and Sudhanshu Sarkar in the next four balls respectively.
Meerut Mavericks register convincing win over Kanpur Superstars in rain-affected encounter
Meerut Mavericks have continued their dominance in the ongoing UP T20 League 2024. The table toppers defeated Kanpur Superstars by 22 runs as per the DLS method at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. In a rain affected encounter, Meerut Mavericks scored 90/3 in their 20 overs. Madhav Kaushik was the top scorer with 52*(26) runs hitting five fours and fours sixes.
Chasing a target of 106 runs in nine overs as per DLS par score, Kanpur Superstars got a flying start as Ankur Malik (33 off 13) and skipper Sameer Rizvi (21 off 14) added 37 runs for the opening wicket in 3.2 overs. However, none of other batters could contribute much as the Superstars kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 83 runs in 7.4 overs.
