BGMI Esports 2025 Roadmap to be announced around December 2024

Following the thrilling conclusion of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series, aka BMPS 2024 finals in Kochi, Kerala, with Team XSpark making history by securing their second major title of the year. Fans are eagerly excited for the next phase of competitive action. In an interview with InsideSports during the BMPS 2024, Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at Krafton India, revealed that the BGMI Esports 2025 roadmap will be announced around December 2024.

2024 has already been an exceptional year for BGMI esports, with major tournaments like the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) and the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS). Team XSpark won both tournaments, becoming the only team to win two official major tournaments in one year. 

BGIS 2024 took 0place in Hyderabad, and BMPS 2024 is played in Kochi. Notably, BMPS 2024 hit 493980 peak viewers during its final second most after the Launch Party BGMI 2021, which had 537849. Moreover, according to EsportsCharts, the tournament had 11.15 million hours watched and an average of 72,300 viewers over 154 hours of streaming.

In an interview with InsideSports, Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at Krafton India, revealed that the BMPS 2025 roadmap is set to be announced around December 2024. However, BMPS 2024 is not the end of the BGMI Esports calendar, as Krafton is expected to host more events later in the year.

What to Expect from the BGMI Esports 2025 Roadmap

The upcoming BGMI Esports 2025 roadmap is expected to build on the success of past events, featuring two major tournaments: BGIS 2025 and BMPS 2025. BGIS 2025 will be an open tournament, allowing players from across the country to compete with their squads. On the other hand, BMPS 2025 will be an invitation-only tournament, where top teams from BGIS 2025 and other scrims or third-party tournaments will be invited to participate.

In addition to these two major tournaments, fans can look forward to other exciting events, possibly featuring international teams, similar to the India-Korea Invitational that took place in October 2023. There may also be special tournaments based on occasions, such as the BGMI Freedom Faceoff and other invitational events.
