Ready to Strike: Ajinkya Rahane’s video after India’s collapse against NZ goes viral

Veteran Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane shared a video of him training in the nets which went viral on social media. On Thursday, October 17, India and New Zealand got into cricketing action after the opening day of first Test got washed out previously. In the overcast conditions of Bengaluru, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first. The two-time WTC finalists who were coming on the back of a two-match Test series win against Bangladesh, hoped to get a favourable start.

However, contrary to the expectations, Rohit Sharma and Co. got off to a disastrous start and kept losing wickets. The guests, riding on Matt Henry’s five-wicket haul, bundled out the hosts on just 46 runs as India recorded their lowest ever Test score at home. While India were getting the thrashing of Kiwi bowlers, veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane shared a video on his Instagram where he was seen practising in the nets. Rahane captioned the video, “Ready to strike.” It goes without saying that the video went viral in no time.
