WATCH: Fan gifts hand-painted portrait of Lord Hanuman to Virat Kohli on cricketer’s 36th birthday

Former India captain and modern day batting-icon Virat Kohli turned 36 on Tuesday, November 5. As the cricketer turned a year older, a fan gifted him a hand-painted portrait of Lord Hanuman. Notably, over the last 15 years that the cricketer has played for India, he has earned praises, awards, fame and what not. Most importantly, Virat Kohli is now regarded as one of the most loved and celebrated cricketers and has one of the largest fan bases ever. 

Known for his resilience and countless record-breaking performances, Kohli celebrated his 36th birthday on November 5. While the cricketer is going through a few struggles in terms of his performance, his birthday is being celebrated as a festival among fans. His fans proved their loyalty during his challenging times. One of the testaments of the same is how one of his most loyal fans, an artist, Yash Prajapati, gifted him a unique hand-painted portrait of Lord Hanuman.

The video of the fan, Yash Prajapati, giving a portrait of Lord Hanuman to Virat Kohli went viral on social media. Yash later took to social media and expressed his delight in meeting Kohli. He shared a video on his Instagram and wrote, “Another great meeting with the legend himself! As I reunited with the incredible Virat Kohli in Mumbai, it was a special moment to gift him the Lord Hanuman portrait.”

Notably, after getting featured in the three-match Test series against New Zealand, Virat Kohli will now be a part of the squad taking on Australia in the five-match Test series, regarded as the elite Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The series is set to begin on November 22 at the Perth Stadium.
