The Rohit Sharma-led Team India enter the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 after knocking out the likes of Australia and England. While the side continue their unbeaten streak in the T20 World Cup 2024, they enter the final after registering a convincing 68-run win against reigning champions, England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
But as they travel to Barbados for the summit clash of the World Cup 2024, the Indian fans have received a major setback. The Men in Blue, ahead of the finale, have cancelled their practice session. The news was confirmed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in a statement which read, “India have cancelled their training session.”
This decision by the Men in Blue come as they were slated to travel to Barbados on the same day via a charter flight. Moreover, the Indian team management decided to give adequate rest to the players instead of indulging them in a training session.
Team India lands in Barbados ahead of T20 World Cup 2024 final
The Men in Blue, who entered the final after registering a win over England, on Friday, June 28 reached Barbados, the venue for the summit clash in the Caribbean. In the video shared by ANI on X (formerly Twitter), the team reached Barbados in the early hours via a charter flight.
The likes of Virat Kohli, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Yashasvi Jaiswal can be seen heading to the team bus. Moreover, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Roger Binny, along with Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and Head Coach Rahul Dravid also joined the players.
