After winning the UEFA Euro 2024, the Spanish team received a grand welcome as they landed in Madrid. La Roja had an extravagant parade as they celebrat ed their victory with fans. Spain took down England 2-1 in the final of the European Championship in Berlin to cap off a dominant run through the tournament.
On Monday, the squad landed at Madrid’s Barajas Airport just after 2 p.m. local time. Hours later, they visited the Zarzuela Palace, home of Spain’s King Felipe VI who celebrated with the team on the pitch at the Olympiastadion. The team visited the Moncloa Palace, the official residence of Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez before going for the parade.
Speaking at the parade, Spanish captain Alvaro Morata said, “We’re champions of Europe! I’ve been proud to be captain of this team. Sometimes I score [goals], and sometimes I don’t, but I promise you that I’ve given everything to win this European Championship… I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. It was magical.”

Coming back to King Felipe VI, His Highness praised Yamal for his performance throughout the tournament. He said, “Given the brilliance that Lamine Yamal has gifted us at the age of 16, there’s not really much to add.” Further, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said, “We want a lot. We want more.”
