PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024: Group Stage ends with 12 teams qualifying for Main Event, while others move to the Survival Stage

The PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2024 group stage culminated, with the top 12 teams qualifying for the main event, which starts on July 26. The bottom 12 teams will join four wildcard teams from the PMSL regions to compete in the Survival Stage from July 23.

The Group Stage featured 18 thrilling matches over three days, with 24 teams divided into three groups competing in a round-robin format. Despite a strong start, Dplus KIA failed to reach the top 12, while POWR Esports surged into the top rankings with two WWCDs on the final day. Check out the overall standings below.

The top 12 teams advanced to the main tournament while the bottom moved to the Survival Stage.

Group Red dominated the Group Stage, with five teams qualifying for the main tournament. Group Green had four teams qualify, while Group Yellow had three teams advance.

Yoodo Alliance were consistent in the Group Stage, where they secured three WWCD in 12 matches. The Chinese team, Tianba was ranked second in the table with 106 points, despite getting zero WWCD. 4Merical Vibes, Team Liquid, and Alpha7 Esports secured the third, fourth, and fifth positions in the table, showcasing some brilliant performances throughout the group stage. 

Reigning PUBG Mobile Global Champions, Al Ula x IHC, surged to sixth place on the final day. D’Xavier and Talon Esports finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the points table.

Survival Stage (July 23–24)

In this stage, 12 teams from the Group Stage will join four already qualified teams, RUKH Esports, Team Pandum, Team Spirit, and Twisted Minds. 

16 teams will compete in a total of 12 matches over two matchdays. After all matches are complete, the top four teams will advance to the grand finals, while the remaining teams will be eliminated.

Main Tournament (July 26–28)

A total of 16 qualified teams from the Group Stage and Survival Stage will compete in a total of 18 matches for the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup 2024 title.
