BMPS 2024 Format

Round 1 (20th August to 5th September 2024)

128 invited teams are split into two groups: RED and BLUE, with each set having four smaller groups of 16 teams. Each group plays 6 matches weekly. After the initial matches, the teams are reshuffled within the RED and BLUE sets, forming new groups, which again play 6 matches per week. The top 64 teams based on overall standings will advance to Round 2.

Round 2 (7th to 10th September 2024)

The 64 teams from Round 1 are divided into four groups of 16 teams. Each team plays 6 matches, and the top 48 teams based on overall standings will move on to Round 3.

Round 3 (11th to 14th September 2024)

The 48 teams that qualified are split into 3 groups of 16 teams. Each team plays 4 matches over 2 days. After these matches, the teams are reshuffled into new groups, playing another 4 matches over 2 days. The top 24 teams based on overall standings will qualify for the Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals (15th September to 18th September 2024)

The 24 teams from Round 3 are divided into 3 groups of 8 teams each. They will play 4 rounds of double round-robin matches, totaling 24 matches. Each team will play 4 matches per day, for a total of 16 matches. The top 16 teams based on overall standings will advance to the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals (27th to 29th September 2024)

Over 3 days, 18 matches will be played. The team with the highest overall standings after these matches will be crowned the champion of BMPS 2024.

The BMPS 2024 is even more competitive than its previous edition, featuring 128 teams compared to the 96 teams from last year. The format isn’t overly difficult or easy, but it demands consistency from the teams throughout the online phase to reach the grand finals.

Top teams like Team Soul, Team XSpark, Global Esports, Reckoning Esports, and Vasista Esports are likely to make it to the end if they continue their consistent performance. On the other hand, teams like Godlike Esports, Orangutan, and others who couldn’t reach the finals last time are hoping for a stronger showing this year.
