Following a recent departure from Carnival Gaming, Omega has officially joined WSB Gaming as their new player. With this exciting transition, Omega is set to lead WSB Gaming in the highly anticipated Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024, starting from August 20.
Omega joins WSB Gaming
Sahil Jakhar, also known as Omega, has joined the WSB Gaming BGMI roster. He will lead the team, which includes Armxn, Zeref, AnujTooOp, Godz, and ShikariJOD, in the upcoming BMPS 2024. This move comes after WSB Gaming’s average performance in the BGMI Masters Series Season 3, where they finished 14th.
Omega is one of the most experienced in-game leaders (IGLs) in BGMI. He has played with several teams, including 8Bit, Chemin Esports, Team Soul, and Carnival Gaming. His standout achievement was winning BMPS Season 1 with Team Soul and representing India at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022.
Omega has also won several tournaments as an IGL, such as The World of Battle: Winter Invitational, APL Winter Showdown Season 2, Battle for Revolution Season 2, and OS Invitational Season 1.
With Omega now leading WSB Gaming, a team with a lot of young talent, he could be the key to their success. Drigger, a prominent team member, has left WSB Gaming, making Omega’s addition even more significant. Check out their current lineup:

However, they couldn’t maintain that momentum in the finals as they finished 14th. With Omega’s experience, WSB Gaming hopes to perform better in the upcoming BMPS 2024.
Omega’s departure from Carnival Gaming following IGL change
On August 2, 2024, Omega left the Carnival Gaming BGMI roster after a seven-month stint. He was removed from his captaincy role, with Hector taking over as the new IGL. Omega did not join the team in New Delhi for the BGMS Season 3, where he was originally expected to lead.
During the event, Omega announced his departure, hinting at internal issues within the team. The roster, which included Omega, Hector, Neyo, Akshat, and Goblin, had been under the Team Soul banner and achieved significant success with multiple trophies.
Omega to lead WSB in BMPS 2024
It’s almost certain that Omega will lead WSB Gaming in the upcoming BMPS 2024 with their promising young lineup. This will be a critical test for Omega, as his recent performances as both a player and IGL have been average, with no major wins since his departure from Team Soul. About BMPS 2024
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2024 (BMPS 2024) is the third edition of the series and is set to take place in two phases: online and offline. The league phase will be held online, starting August 20th, while the Grand Finals will occur as an offline LAN event in Kochi from September 26 to September 29, 2024.
The tournament will boast a substantial prize pool of INR 20,000,000 and will feature hundreds of teams, including those from BGIS 2024, third-party event teams, and top-tier teams. Notable teams like WSB Gaming, Team XSpark, VST Gaming, Legacy Esports, and Gujarat Tigers have already confirmed their participation, with many others still expected to announce their involvement in this highly anticipated event.
