Vaasvi Khaitan became the first Indian equestrian star to win FEI Tueto Rising Stars Championship 2024 at the Hagen a. T. W. venue in Germany earlier this month. The teenage horseback rider showcased great control over her horse “Pascalena” in the standard jumping show in the two-phase competition, to win the coveted title overseas.

Born on March 31, 2010, Vaasvi Khaitan is one of the fastest rising sensation in equestrian for India at just 14 years of age. She won the title in the 115cm obstacle height competition after finishing in 26th place in the 125cm obstacle height competition a few days earlier.

After securing the FEI Tueto Rising Stars Championship 2024, Vaasvi Khaitan, who was riding Pascalena, got to hear the national anthem of India played at the Hagen a. T.W. venue in Germany. She and her champion horse also paid a salute to the Tricolour held by the organising staff nearby.

Following the big win in Germany, the yoga wellness teacher of Vaasvi Khaitan, named Ruchika Sadh congratulated her in a post on her Instagram account. She wrote, “So proud of my student Vaasvi Khaitan, Congratulations @vaasvi_showjumping for her incredible win at the FEI Tueto Rising Stars Championship!”

“From day one, we combined yoga, mat pilates and meditation to help Vaasvi build the strength, balance, and focus needed to stay straight and steady on her horse. These practices were key in enhancing her posture, core stability, and overall alignment, allowing her to perform with precision in the arena. Meditation helps enhance focus and stay calm under pressure. Vaasvi is incredibly passionate, dedicated and hard working. It’s been a joy to teach her and witness her journey. Here’s to more wins and more zen!,” the instructor at the Ida Yoga Wellness further said.
