Who is Darius Visser?: DOB, Age, Role, Teams, Records, Achievements, and More

On Tuesday, August 20, Samoa wicketkeeper-batter Darius Visser created history and etched his name in history books while playing for his national team in a match in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Sub Regional East Asia-Pacific Qualifier A event. The 28-year-old smashed a world record for scoring most runs in a single over in men’s T20I cricket during Samoa’s match against Vanuatu at the Garden Oval (No.2) in Apia.

Visser managed to score 39 runs in an over bowled by Vanuatu pacer Nalin Nipiko in the 15th over of the inning, breaking the long-standing record set by former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. It is to be noted that Singh had etched this record during India’s match against England in 2007 T20 World Cup, where he smashed Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over to add 36 runs.
