Arunachal Premier League (APL) is back with its second season in 2024 a midst the start of a busy season of cricket, thanks to the multiple T20 Leagues and international cricket all over the world. The new season of the APL, a franchise T20 tournament, will be played between September 8 and September 18, to determine the new champions after Pare Warriors won the inaugural title last year.
The APL is organized by the Arunachal Cricket Association (ARCA) with the approval of the Board of Control of Cricket In India (BCCI). Six district-based teams will participate in the upcoming edition of the APL, unlike five teams that played last year. Dirang Dragons has been added to the tournament as the sixth team.
A total of six teams will participate in the upcoming season of the Arunachal Premier League 2024. They are Dirang Dragons, Tawang Tigers, Kameng Strikers, Pare Warriors, Kamle Cobras, and Siang Sharks.
Originally, the second season of APL was set to begin on September 1, but it is moved to September 8 at a new venue. It’s because there is some rain forecasted during the first week of September at its original venue. As per the updated schedule, the tournament will conclude on September 18.
