Kyle Mayers pulls off breathtaking running catch to dismiss Faf du Plessis in CPL 2024

In match number five of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, which was played between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Saint Lucia Kings on Monday, September 2 (IST), Player of the Match winner, Kyle Mayers pulled off a brilliant catch to dismiss Saint Lucia Kings’ captain, Faf du Plessis. After posting 202-run target on the board for the Kings, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots all-rounder, Kyle Mayers dismissed Faf with a sensational catch.

The moment came in the fifth over of the Kings’ inning when the South African cricketer attempted to hit Anrich Nortje’s shortest delivery over mid-wicket. But the West Indies international had some other plans as he ran back to cover a good ground distance and dive full-length to complete a brilliant running catch. With this, Faf du Plessis’ stay in the middle was cut short as he departed having scored only two runs off four deliveries.
