As per reports, Dhoni will be a part of the film that will have famous Indian star Thalapathy aka Vijay in the lead role. Notably, Dhoni, the former Chennai Super Kings captain in the Indian Premier League has attained unparalleled fandom in almost all parts of the country, especially Tamil Nadu. Not only this, but even he has got a special name ‘Thala’ by the fans, who consider him no less than a superstar and a legit icon.

Notably, Venkat is currently working on a high-budget Tamil science-fiction film, GOAT, with an estimated budget of ₹300-₹400 Crore that would be based on time travel. As per various sources, the movie will have Vijay playing a double role as both father and son and it is slated to be released in theatres on September 5, 2024.

As per a statement by Kollywood director Venkat Prabhu in an interview, his upcoming movie Greatest of All Time (GOAT) might feature the former Indian cricketer. He said that his movie will have a scene with a snippet of a match involving Chennai Super Kings. In one of the recent interviews, Prabhu said, “We are featuring a CSK match in a scene in the GOAT movie – you know who will make an appearance on the screen.”
