One of the finest spinners in world cricket, Afghanistan all-rounder, Rashid Khan on Thursday, October 3 tied a knot in a grand ceremony in Kabul. The Afghan cricketer, who last appeared in the national kit in three-match ODI series against South Africa in the UAE, tied a nuptial in the national capital, Kabul, leaving social media buzzing on the grand affair.

However, the wedding ceremony was attended by many Afghanistan cricketers, the pictures and videos from the ceremony are making rounds on social media. Touted as one of the top spinners and all-rounders in the shortest format of the game, the videos of the wedding venue reveal that the ceremonies were hosted amid tight security.

However, videos and images from the grand ceremony went viral in no time, his teammates, who were also a part of the wedding, also took to social media to extend their wishes for the star spinner. Former Afghanistan skipper, Mohammed Nabi, who was also in attendance took to X to share a post which read, “Congratulations to the one and only King Khan, Rashid Khan, on your wedding! Wishing you a lifetime of love, happiness, and success ahead”.

Congratulations on your wedding,Best wishes for the future!” Rahmat Shah captioned a post on X. Not only this, the official handle of the Afghanistan cricket team, Afghan Atalan also shared greetings accompanied with pictures from the ceremony.

Speaking about the 26-year-old, the Afghanistan all-rounder has been the backbone of the team, solidifying his position as one of the premier cricketers in the world. While he recently played a pivotal role in Afghanistan’s historic series win against South Africa in UAE in September, he also guided the team to their best-ever finish in World Cups in June. His numbers speak of his prolific career with 152 wickets in 93 T20Is and 190 wickets in 105 ODIs.
