The franchises are geared up for the mega auction ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2025. With the new retention rules set by the BCCI, the franchises can now retain six players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. In case the franchises don’t retain any of their players, they can use six right-to-match (RTM) cards instead during the auction, which allow them to bring their best players back to the squad for the same price at which any other franchise makes a final bid.

Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag has been backed by Rajasthan Royals over the years, and also had great season in IPL 2024 with 573 runs from 16 matches. Due to his performances, Parag also earned maiden India call in 2024. With the form he has shown this year, RR are likely to retain Riyan Parag at a price of ₹11 crore.
Dhruv Jurel
Wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel has been an effective batter for Rajasthan Royals in the middle order with his quick-fire 20s and 30s. However, RR may not retain him ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction, but can use right to match card during the auction to bring him back in the squad.
