Subnautica 2, the sequel to the popular 2018 game Subnautica, has been officially announced. The game will enter early access in 2025, allowing fans to explore an all-new underwater adventure. The announcement came during the October 17 Xbox Partner Preview event, where developers Krafton and Unknown Worlds Entertainment shared the first teaser for the game.

Subnautica 2 will start early access in 2025. This was confirmed during the Xbox Partner Preview event on October 17, 2023, when the first trailer was shown. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Windows Store. Players can wishlist the game now to get updates on its release.

However, the exact date for early access hasn’t been announced yet, it is expected to last around two to three years, with a full release planned between 2027 and 2028.

Subnautica 2 Multiplayer Mode

Subnautica 2 will have a new four-player online co-op mode where players can team up with friends. This is a big addition to the series. It’s not confirmed yet if players on Xbox and PC can play together, but this might be included when the game launches in 2025.

New Planet and Story

The game will take place on a new planet, different from the one in the original Subnautica. The story will follow pioneers exploring a mysterious world, and players may need to adapt to survive. More details about the story and content will be added during the early access period.
