Baby is on the way: Sakshi Singh Dhoni shares surprising Insta story during CSK vs SRH; post surfaces

In match 46 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) hosted the SunRisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, April 28. As usual, it was the visiting skipper who stood out at the toss in the match and invited the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side to put the score first on the board.

On the back of a 54-ball 98 from skipper Gaikwad and crucial 32-ball 52 from Daryl Mitchell and unbeaten 39 from Shivam Dube helped CSK post 212 runs on the board. During the CSK inning, MS Dhoni also walked out to bat after being promoted places. During his short two-ball stay, the veteran scored five runs. While he smashed his first ball for a boundary, his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni, who was also present at the stadium was left amazed by his hitting, video of which is going viral.

However, this video went viral in no time as Sakshi did her part being MS Dhoni’s biggest cheerleader.

But as the match progressed, Sakshi Singh shared a surprising story on her Instagram handle with the picture of MS taking his wicketkeeping duties and the caption, requesting the side to finish the game early and the baby is on the way. “Please finish the game fast today @chennaiipl baby is on the way …. contractions have begun. Request from – to be “Bua”!” she captioned the picture. 

Speaking of the match, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led CSK registered a convincing 78-run win over the Pat Cummins-led side. For the first time in IPL 2024, SRH were bowled out for a score of 134 in 18.5 overs, courtesy five catches from Daryl Mitchell and a brilliant bowling performance of 4/27 by Tushar Deshpande in his three overs. 

The reigning champions after this win reclaimed the third spot in the IPL 2024 points table and will next take on the Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 1.
