Dil Dil South Africa: Twitter lauds South Africa’s explosive batting against New Zealand in CWC’23

Netizens lauded Temba Bavuma-led South Africa for their fiery knock in the World Cup 2023 fixture. South Africa locked horns with New Zealand in the 32nd clash of the ongoing marquee ICC event. Batting first, the Proteas posted a mammoth total of 357 runs at the loss of four wickets in 50 overs. The Kiwi stand-in skipper Tom Latham won the toss and invited the rivals to put the score on the board first.

While their skipper could only contribute 24 runs to the overall score, the top batting order, including the likes of Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen played brilliantly. De Kock joined the elite club featuring names like Rohit Sharma and Kumar Sangakkara and became the third player to score four centuries in a single edition of the multinational masterpiece as he scored 114 off 116 balls. 

Other than him, Dussen pulled another notable knock of 133 runs off 118 balls to guide South Africa cross the 300-run mark. Cricket fans took to Twitter to laud the Proteas for putting up a remarkable show with bat at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Here’s how fans reacted.
