Lakers thank Selena Gomez for her ‘loyalty’ during home win against Magic

During their home win against Orlando Magic on Monday, October 30, Los Angeles Lakers thanked the singer and actress Selena Gomez for her ‘loyalty’ towards the franchise. The 31-year-old made an appearance at the Arena alongside her cousin Priscilla Cosme for the game, in which the Lakers defeated the Magic by 106-103.

Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell gave a brilliant start to the Lakers in the first quarter, securing a 29-24 lead, despite the duo of Jaxson Hayes and Christian Wood bringing down the deficit as the game went on. But, they couldn’t keep up with the youth and speed of the Magic in the second quarter, who outscored them (34-25) for the period to go 58-54 ahead at the halftime break.

The third quarter belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers (27-22), with Austin Reeves and LeBron James taking the initiative, to take the lead once again in the game, by a single point, with the score reading 81-80. In the fourth quarter, Orlando Magic had two triple tries to send the game into overtime, but Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs couldn’t get it in, to come out on the losing side.

Anthony Davis talked about the victory to the Lakers Reporter and said, “We just had to find a way to win coming off a tough loss last night. Whatever it takes to get the W and we did that tonight.”
