Liam Livingstone injures his knee while completing Rohit Sharma’s catch in IND vs ENG CWC 2023

The Men in Blue are taking on England in Match 29 of the Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. While the side is riding high on confidence having registered wins in all five games so far, England will aim to comeback in the competition with bare little margin left.

After being invited to bat first by the Jos Buttler-led side, the Indian top order fell like a pack of cards with skipper Rohit Sharma holding firm at one end. However, his stay was soon cut short as he missed his crucial century with Liam Livingstone taking an easy catch, dismissing the in-form batter at 87.

In the process of completing the catch, the England all-rounder injured his knee after landing awkwardly. While he came running across from deep, slid and completed the catch, he landed badly injuring his right knee. However, the physio rushed to check on him with Liam looking ok to continue on the field.

After 37 overs, India’s scoreboard read 165 with half of the side back to the pavilion.
