It wasn’t the first time that Kaif talked about the incident that took place at the final of 2002 NatWest Trophy. During the match, India had lost the top five batters, in the names of Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Dinesh Mongia and Rahul Dravid. During that situation, India’s chances were looking bleak in the game.

When Kaif came out to bat in the middle, Hussain ended up sledging him and said, “I think he must drive the bus, I think he drives Tendulkar around the bus.” The former English captain also opened up on the incident during a podcast, a few years ago. Kaif was speaking at the commentary panel of India versus England and said, “Nasser Hussain called me a bus driver.”

Coming back to the match, England skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and invited Team India to bat first. The Englishmen gained an early command on the game as the Men in Blue lost three wickets in the names of Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer before team’s score could reach 100.
