As per the reports, a lot of fans, including Bashir, had to be treated by medical teams outside the Narendra Modi Stadium, after they got sick mainly due to the hot weather in Ahmedabad. Pakistan’s superfan was treated by the 108 emergency ambulance team first and foremost before he was taken to a private hospital in the city for further treatment.

From his hospital bed, Bashir got emotional at the poor state of the Pakistan cricket team, tearing into the players for not showcasing any fight after they collapsed from 155-2 to 191 all out. At one point in the viral video on X, he told the Men in Green to go home for making a mockery out of the country on the world stage.

Notably, when Mohammed Siraj castled Babar Azam, who scored 50 off 58, the India versus Pakistan contest turned completely in the favour of the hosts. In pursuit of 192 run target, Rohit Sharma smashed the bowlers of the Men in Green to all corners of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, scoring 86 off 63, which included six fours and six maximums, to put India on the brink of a big win in the ODI World Cup 2023.
