ODI World Cup 2023: India vs Pakistan

The highly-anticipated contest between India and Pakistan will be played at the biggest cricket stadium in the world, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday at 02:00 p.m. IST. The 12th match of the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 game will see a pre-match show with a musical concert, starring singers like Arijit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, and Sukhwinder Singh, among others. Many big celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are also expected to see this match.

South Africa Women vs New Zealand Women – 4th T20I

After the first three games between the South Africa Women’s team and the New Zealand Women’s team were washed out due to rain, two of them were abandoned without a ball being bowled, the two sides will face each other in the fourth match of the five-match T20I series on Saturday at the  Willowmoore Park, Benoni. The match will start at 05:30 p.m. IST with both teams looking to take the lead in the penultimate fixture of the series.

Australia Women beat West Indies Women to clinch series 2-0

The Australia women’s team continued their dominance over the Windies women’s team in their three-match ODI series as the Aussies thrashed the visitors by eight wickets with 211 balls remaining in the third and final ODI match on Saturday. With this win Australia clinch the ODI series against West Indies 2-0, completing a white-ball series sweep with a 2-1 win in the T20I series earlier.

CWC 2023: New Zealand beat Bangladesh by eight wickets to clinch top spot

New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets convincingly with the help of a brilliant 108-run partnership between Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell for the third wicket, who helped their side chase down 246 runs with 43 balls to spare.  Batting first, Bangladesh were restricted to a total of 245/9 in 50 overs with the help of Lockie Ferguson picking three wickets, while Trent Boult and Matt Henry picked two wickets each.

Alastair Cook announces retirement from professional cricket

England’s leading Test run-scorer and former captain, Alastair Cook on Friday, October 13 announced his retirement from professional cricket. The 38-year-old English cricketer, who retired from Test cricket in 2018, took to his county club Essex to call off his career. The left-handed batter, whose contract at Chelmsford expired lately, aimed to seek an extension and call off his time from professional cricket.

India skipper Rohit Sharma addresses media ahead of Pakistan clash

The Rohit Sharma-led Team India will take on Pakistan in their third match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.  While talking in the pre-match press conference, Rohit Sharma revealed that Gill is 99 per cent available for selection for the game against Pakistan. Rohit also said that the toss won’t be a critical factor in their fixture against their neighbouring rivals.

IOC approves inclusion of cricket and four other sports in 2028 LA Olympics

The International Olympic Committee has approved the inclusion of cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The decision to include the sport in the T20I format was taken at the committee’s executive board meeting in Mumbai on October 13, Friday. Cricket’s previous appearance at the multi-sport tournament was in 1990 in Paris.  Apart from cricket, baseball, softball, flag football, and squash are also included in the 2008 Olympic Games.
