ODI World Cup 2023: Australia vs Sri Lanka

The Indian domestic T20 championship will commence on Monday as a total of 30 teams will be in action. 15 matches will take place in three different time slots at 11:00 a.m., 01:30 p.m., and 04:30 p.m. with the defending champions Tamil Nadu scheduled to face Karnataka at the  Maharana Pratap College Ground in Dehradun in the morning slot.

The Sunday clash kicked off with the English skipper Jos Buttler winning the toss and opting to field first. Batting first, Afghanistan, under the captaincy of Hashmatullah Shahidi, posted a score of 284 runs as Rahmanullah Gurbaz (57-ball-80), and Ikram Alikhil (58) scored half-centuries. In the second innings, no England batter could spend a long time at the crease apart from Harry Brook as Afghanistan’s spin duo of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan picked up three wickets each to bundle out the Three Lions on 215 runs on 41 overs.

Women’s Cricket: South Africa beat New Zealand by 11 runs to level series 1-1

The first three matches between South Africa Women and New Zealand Women in the ongoing five-match T20I series couldn’t be completed due to rain. In the fourth match, New Zealand defeated the hosts by seven wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series on Saturday. However, the Proteas women’s team levelled the series 1-1 after winning the fifth and final match of the series against the Kiwis by 11 runs.
