ODI World Cup 2023: New Zealand vs Afghanistan

While Afghanistan won their first match of the tournament against defending champions England on Sunday, New Zealand are one of the two teams including India, who are yet to lose a game in the CWC 2023. The 18th match in the World Cup between the Netherlands and South Africa will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday at 02:00 p.m. IST.

With this loss, Temba Bavuma and Co. also lost their first game of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

The Sri Lanka cricket board released an official statement on the cricketer, hoping he return to the game soon.  This move comes after he was acquitted of all charges by the District Court in New South Wales, making him eligible for a return.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz fined for breach of ICC Code of Conduct during ENG vs AFG

Afghanistan player Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been handed an official reprimand for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup league match against England in Delhi on Sunday. Gurbaz was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an International Match.”

The second day of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 featured a historic achievement as Punjab posted the highest-ever total in the domestic Indian T20 league on Tuesday morning. Abhishek Sharma (112 off 51) and Anmolpreet Singh’s (87 off 26) blistering innings helped Punjab register a mammoth total of 275 runs with a loss of six wickets against the Andhra cricket team.

In another match between the Railways and Arunachal Pradesh, Ashutosh Sharma etched his name in record books as he broke the record of former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh to set a new benchmark. The young Indian cricketer stole the limelight with the fastest fifty by an Indian player (11 balls) in T20 cricket in the Railways’ win by 127 runs.
