The ODI World Cup 2023 is here as defending champions England are scheduled to face the 2019 runners-up New Zealand in a rematch of the last edition’s final on Thursday, October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Apart from this the Asian Games 2023 – Men’s Cricket event has also reached its semi-final stage with India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Pakistan being the four semifinalists.

Hayley smashed an unbeaten 132 runs off just 64 balls with 20 fours and five sixes in the innings and broke the record while chasing the biggest T20I total of 212 runs in women’s cricket history. Asian Games 2023 – Men’s Cricket:  Bangladesh vs Malaysia

After topping Group C, Malaysia were inch-close to qualify for the semi-final as they lost the quarterfinal in the Men’s Cricket event at the Asian Games 2023 against Bangladesh by two runs. Malaysia displayed a tremendous bowling performance to restrict Bangladesh to 116 runs and despite needing just five runs off the last over to win the game, Malaysia fell two runs short to victory. With this win, Bangladesh will face India on Friday while Afghanistan defeated Sri Lanka to face Pakistan in the semi-final.

Ben Stokes doubtful for opener against New Zealand in ODI World Cup 2023

The 2019 World Cup final Player of the Match, Ben Stokes is a doubt for England’s opener against New Zealand which is a rematch of last edition’s final. The England all-rounder is doubtful due to a “slight niggle with his hip.” England skipper Jos Buttler stated, “He’s got a slight niggle with his hip. But fingers crossed that it’ll be good news for us.”

Delhi Court grants Shikhar Dhawan divorce from wife Aesha Mukerji

Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was granted a divorce on grounds of cruelty by his wife Aesha Mukerji through a Delhi court on Wednesday. The court judgement stated Aesha subjected Dhawan to mental agony by compelling him to live separately from his only son for years. Judge Harish Kumar of a family court accepted Dhawan’s allegations in his divorce plea against his wife. 

Tim Southee ruled out of World Cup opener against England

After skipper Kane Williamson, New Zealand star pacer Tim Southee is set to miss the ODI World Cup 2023 opener against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Stand-in skipper Tom Latham has revealed that Williamson is still nursing his right knee, despite batting in both the warm-up games. On the other hand, Tim Southee, who suffered an injury in an ODI against England, is still recovering from a fractured thumb on the right hand.
